Experience You Will Gain
As a Senior Project Manager you will apply knowledge, experience, and management skills across a wide range of client engagements such as diligence on acquiring an existing property, oversight of a new development deal, and management of a significant renovation. You will be involved in all phases of projects from the inception stage through design, construction, and turnover to occupancy. You’ll address a variety of real estate use types including multifamily, hospitality, office, retail, industrial, manufactured housing, cannabis cultivation, and more And as a senior business leader, you will also manage a team of employees while participating in company and Project Services departmental matters.
Manage Projects and Programs
Evaluate client goals to establish priorities, create plans, and advocate for appropriate project and program strategies.
Assess and manage risks to minimize intolerable surprises for clients and the company.
Advise on technical and managerial matters for building acquisitions and development.
Forecast and manage schedules and resources to ensure timely completion of all current and anticipated projects and programs.
Create and oversee project budgets, commitments, invoices and payments to adjust as necessary to achieve expectations.
Advise on best project procurement/delivery approaches for each project or program.
Source resources and negotiate agreements with contractors and consultants.
Visit sites to observe work progress and ascertain compliance with construction documents.
Develop Relationships
Manage existing relationships to maintain client satisfaction.
Build new relationships with potential clients and vendors to increase company revenue.
Network and recruit for open and future positions within the Project Services department.
Participate in industry and community organizations to strengthen company reputation.
Qualifications We Desire
Real Projectives seeks Senior Project Managers who are well-versed in the life cycle of real estate construction and development, are motivated, entrepreneurial, and energetic to work with others toward professional growth, along with these characteristics:
10 years relative working experience with proven track record as project/construction manager preferably as an owner/landlord/investor representative.
Bachelor’s degree in construction, engineering, architecture or real estate. Prefer a Master’s degree in real estate, finance, construction, or business;
Certified Construction Manager (CCM), Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or Certified Construction Contract Administrator (CCCA), or equivalent.
Skilled at managing and coaching employees for optimal performance and professional development to meet or exceed company and industry standards.
Experienced with organizing and leading project teams throughout the entire life cycle of real estate and buildings.
Effective at strategic and operational planning and decision making.
Proficient at using computers and software including Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as various Internet browsers.
Familiarity with online project and file platforms such as e-Builder, Box, Dropbox, Procore, Fieldwire, etc.
Hybrid Work Location and Travel
The Senior Project Manager will be based out of our Laurel, Maryland office with a mix of in-office, home/remote work, and business travel throughout the United States. Travel is anticipated to range from 20-30%.
