Our client is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Accountant to join their dynamic team. As a leading company in the distribution industry, they are committed to excellence in all aspects of their business, and they believe that a talented and dedicated accounting team is crucial to their success.

Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
  • Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to management for decision-making purposes.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to maintain internal controls and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Conduct financial audits and coordinate with external auditors.

Requirements of the Senior Accountant:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA certification strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
  • Thorough understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficient in using accounting software and ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
