Project Engineer

The Project Engineer is a crucial entry point into construction project management, playing a significant role in the success of projects. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside industry-leading Project Managers and field management leaders. The role provides administrative and business support to facilitate the planning and coordination of project activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and managing project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Support the Project Manager in determining manpower levels and coordinating the assignment of project personnel.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project milestones are achieved.
- Document, assist with estimating, and monitor all out-of-scope/change order instances.
- Identify potential problems, work interferences, and schedule difficulties.
- Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and documentation.
- Assist in procuring materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project specifications.
- Analyze and resolve issues, providing technical support and solutions as needed.
- Monitor project performance, identifying and addressing potential risks and issues.
- Prepare and maintain project reports, records, and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Participate in project meetings, providing technical insights and updates on project status.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field, and/or 3-5 years of experience in underground pipeline construction or a related industry.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to anticipate and mitigate issues.
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and safety standards related to pipeline construction.
