We are seeking someone with a passion for innovation and technology, who possesses experience with mechanical manufacturing and electromechanical design. Responsibilities

Support the propulsion team in next-gen brushless DC motor design, optimization and testing Develop and oversee automated manufacturing methods for motor, battery, wire-harness, charging systems, and other electro-mechanical aircraft components CAD and Engineering Drafting of test equipment, jigs, and fixtures Integration of aircraft electrical and mechanical systems Thermal and mechanical modeling and testing of electric propulsion systems Assist in flight testing both locally and at remote sites (some travel required) Qualifications

B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, Aerospace, or Industrial Engineering 3+ years experience as a Mechanical Engineer Keen eye for detail, experience with quality control and manufacturing processes Proficiency in 3D modeling (CATIA preferred) Proficiency in 2D documentation and GD&T Experience in prototype manufacturing in a professional environment Experience in rigorous scientific methods for testing and troubleshooting Demonstrate hands-on design, build, and test experience through student teams, co-op, and/or personal projects Bonus Qualifications

Mechatronics-related experience with machine design, testing, and prototyping Manufacturing background in a factory setting CFD experience a plus Knowledge and experience with manufacturing automation, production manufacturing, product lifecycle management, CNC machining, and 3D Printing Personal Attributes
