The Associate Development Program (ADP) is a two-year rotational program beginning July 2024 designed to bring high potential early career talent into the organization, expose participants to a curriculum of continuous development and create a pipeline of transformative professionals and future leaders. The program is structured to provide rich development opportunities and real-world experiences, in different locations, so participants gain a holistic view of the organization. The goal is for the Associate to transition into a specific role at one location at the end of the 2 years based on the experience and skill set the individual has developed over the course of the program.
POSITION SUMMARY: We have an exciting career opportunity for an individual hungry for growth and eager to roll-up their sleeves and learn side by side a great team of HR leaders. This individual will play an integral role in driving and supporting our business goals and objectives as a Human Resources Associate for a 2-year rotational assignment beginning July 2023. During this program you will be fully engaged in supporting key HRBP strategic initiatives across all functional areas of HR and Talent Management. The ideal candidate will be an energetic self-starter looking to learn the essential functions of site HR support including employee relations, organizational development, analytics, performance management, DEI&B, employee engagement & retention, data analytics reporting, change management, process improvement, and more. ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Core responsibilities will vary depending upon rotational assignment. Assignments will be determined based on business needs and associate's development needs. Assignments may be provided in the areas of HR Business Partnering, Employee Relations, Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, DEI&B, Total Rewards, Employee Engagement, and HR Operations.
Examples of core responsibilities may include:
* Employee Relations and Engagement: Work with Union/non-union employees at the mill site and the R&D facility, addressing concerns and queries, fostering a positive work environment, and actively engaging in conflict resolution and mediation processes to maintain a harmonious workplace.
* Talent Management and Development: Collaborate with HR team and site leaders to identify skills gaps and training needs within teams, to ensure employees have the necessary skills and opportunities for growth.
* Performance Management: Support administration of performance management systems that include employee development programs and progressive discipline. Support managers in reviewing performance objectives, conducting evaluations, and providing constructive feedback to employees.
* Recruitment and Staffing: Support the recruitment process by working closely with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs, screen candidates, and participate in the selection process to ensure the recruitment of high-quality talent aligned with business needs.
* Working with HR Leadership team members: Contribute to various organizational development & analytics projects and processes.
* Assist with developing presentations: Support numerous initiatives.
* Assist in leading various HR initiatives: Tracking timelines, auditing completion, active problem solving where issues arise, and driving communication and collaboration to ensure organizational understanding.
* Gain a working knowledge: Understand the organization and business functions to provide accurate and thorough support.
* Support: Ad hoc projects and deliverables as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS (EXPERIENCE)
* Strong project management and attention to detail is a must, along with the ability to multi-task on a wide variety of assignments/ projects
* Excellent analytical skills and creative problem-solving capabilities
* A minimum of 1-year experience in HR or Project Management is preferred (internships count towards experience)
* Detail oriented, self-starter, who can manage through ambiguity and demonstrate results
* Demonstrated success of working independently and collaboratively with a diverse and/or global group
* Excellent time management, planning, and communication (written and verbal) skills required
* Ability to work well with others and complete assignments on time
* Must possess high ethical standards and able to maintain confidentiality of all data and files
* Strong Computer skills in MS Office such as Word, Excel, and Power Point; Familiarity with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) is a plus
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
* Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university as a rising senior, pursuing a bachelor's degree program studying Human Resources, Industrial & Organizational Psychology, or other closely related field of study.
