Essential Responsibilities: · Business Development: set up appointments with prospective clients to learn their needs/concerns working with outside sales team to develop relationships and create awareness of company offerings. · Maintain and develop relationships with composite cable dealers and wholesalers, including · Create a plan of regular touch points in line with customer buying habits/needs. · Understand the marketplace to adjust pricing at both the dealer and wholesale level to support growth and consistency in customer base. · Prospect new customers and develop a compelling strategy to win new business. · Follow-up with customers on quotations to help obtain orders, discuss objections that may prevent the placement of orders, and offer alternate options if need. · Proactively follows up with prospective new customers to generate sales. · Meet monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets as defined by Management each year. · Create and present quotations to customers emphasizing value-add features and explaining the benefits of working with CableMaster. · Manage and perform data entry into ERP system for orders in line with company policies. · Work cross functionally with purchasing and accounting teams relaying voice of customer as it relates to needs in the marketplace to support inventory purchases and management. · Assist with assigning customers to inside sales team working to support customer needs as appropriate with an understanding that customer needs vary by customer. · Possesses thorough knowledge of all products, processes, and policies to support and exceed customer requirements. · Other Duties as assigned. Qualifications · 5+ years of related experience in manufacturing, industrial or engineering sales. · Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with internal and external customers at all levels of the organization providing courteous, timely and accurate information. · Preferred to have analytical competencies and technical aptitude with respect to the wire and cable industry. · Ability to solve problems involving several variables. · Time management and organization skills are required with the ability to handle multiple tasks and to prioritize situations requiring urgent attention is critical. · Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel. Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). · Continuous Improvement mindset and a focus on Quality.
