The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in evaluating credit applications and financial statements to determine credit limits for new and existing customers.
- Monitor customer accounts to identify overdue payments and take appropriate actions to recover outstanding debts.
- Maintain accurate records of customer accounts, payments, and credit limits.
- Assist in the development and implementation of credit policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with our sales and branch managers to resolve credit issues and disputes.
- Prepare regular reports on the status of credit and collections for management review.
- Support the Credit Manager in conducting credit reviews and risk assessments.
- Provide training and support to credit staff.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations regarding credit and collections.
- Research, prepare and send necessary legal notices as needed.
MUST HAVE Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in credit management or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of credit policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Strong understanding of mechanic lien laws and regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certification in credit management
- Experience in the heating, cooling, and plumbing supply industry.
- Experience with credit management software is a plus
Working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
And every third Saturday from 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM
