Job Summary:The Assistant Credit Manager will support the Credit Manager in overseeing the credit department's operations. This role involves evaluating the creditworthiness of new and existing customers, managing the collection of outstanding accounts, and ensuring adherence to company credit policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in evaluating credit applications and financial statements to determine credit limits for new and existing customers.
Monitor customer accounts to identify overdue payments and take appropriate actions to recover outstanding debts.
Maintain accurate records of customer accounts, payments, and credit limits.
Assist in the development and implementation of credit policies and procedures.
Collaborate with our sales and branch managers to resolve credit issues and disputes.
Prepare regular reports on the status of credit and collections for management review.
Support the Credit Manager in conducting credit reviews and risk assessments.
Provide training and support to credit staff.
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations regarding credit and collections.
Research, prepare and send necessary legal notices as needed.

MUST HAVE Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in credit management or a similar role.
Strong understanding of credit policies, procedures, and best practices.
Strong understanding of mechanic lien laws and regulations.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
High level of integrity and professionalism.

Preferred Qualifications:

Professional certification in credit management
Experience in the heating, cooling, and plumbing supply industry.
Experience with credit management software is a plus.

Working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

And every third Saturday from 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM
