  • Assist with financial data management, including journal entries, account reconciliations, timely completion and assistance with monthly and quarterly internal financial reporting, internal controls, and accounting for various components of the firm.
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process within clearly specified time frames, following established internal control processes and procedures.
  • Perform analytical functions necessary to achieve an accurate and timely general ledger month-end close: analysis of income statement, balance sheet and equity transactions, preparation of financial statements and general accounting support for financed and non-financed projects for US and Ukraine entity, working as part of both the U.S. and Ukrainian Accounting team for the company.
  • Assist with the preparation of quarterly unaudited and annual audited financial statements in accordance with GAAP to comply with the reporting requirements of lender and ownership agreements, which includes tax equity and cash equity ownership structures.
  • Interact daily with the Russian and Ukrainian speaking team in Ukraine with respect to the accounting, tax and other accounting related compliance issues for the Ukrainian company.
  • In close collaboration with other technical accounting professionals, assist with researching technical accounting and reporting matters, accounting principles and financial reporting rules.
  • Collaborate with and respond to ad hoc requests from key stakeholders within the organization (e.g., Treasury, Portfolio Finance, Asset Management).
  • Contribute to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures.
  • Assist with special projects.
  • Support the annual audit process.
  • Handle multiple concurrent efforts and provide high quality deliverables accurately and on time.
  • Understand and apply internal control processes and procedures over financial accounting and reporting.
  • Other duties as assigned within area of responsibility.
Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field and 5 years of experience in any position providing experience with accounting and/or financial analysis. Experience must include any amount of experience with or demonstrated knowledge of:
  • US GAAP and technical accounting principles
  • IFRS and SOX
  • ERP accounting system(s) (i.e Quickbooks)
  • Microsoft Office applications including performing financial and analytical computations in Excel
  • UA GAAP and Technical accounting principles
  • Must be fluent in written and spoken Russian and Ukrainian. (Part of the interview process will be completed by a member of our accounting team in Ukraine to determine fluency).
