Job Summary: Under the direction of the Charge Nurse provides care to assigned patents as outlined by each individual patient plan of care.

Shift: Days 7am-7pm

Responsibilities and Duties:
Provides good personal hygiene to patients; bathes, dresses, toilets residents as indicates by their individualized care plan. Gives shampoos, hair care, shaves residents, trims nails, enemas and assists residents with personal and dental hygiene. Assures the patients are properly and comfortably clothed. Accurately documents care given to patients, assignment sheets, and other appropriate records. Informs charge/unit manager if patient care card needs updating. Promotes comfort, security and rehabilitation. Promptly responds to patient communication system (call lights). Performs hourly/purposeful rounding per hospital policy. Launders swing bed patient laundry. Provides diversional activities for swing bed patients. Fosters teamwork and interacts with peers to maintain an ongoing working rapport across all shifts. Orients and instructs new personnel to policies and procedures and to the functioning of the unit as directed Adheres to standard precautions to prevent spread of disease and infections control standards Complies with departmental policies and procedures. Complies with all Joint Commission regulations and guidelines. Attends in-services to keep current, knowledgeable, and remain compliant with requirement of mandatories in LMS. Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Able to maintain confidential information.
  • Must be able to speak and write the English language in an understandable manner.
  • BLS certification
Salary: $18.41 - $22.02 per hour plus shift differential

Education:
  • High school or equivalent (Required)
