Universal Orlando Resort believes in-person collaboration is key to our success. Many of our Team Members work in a hybrid capacity, contributing from the workplace a minimum of three days per week. POSITION SUMMARY:

Performs accounting functions, budgeting, financial analysis, and reporting for assigned client group / division / Business Unit. Applies a range of applications including journal entries, report writing and review, variance commentary, and feedback from partnerships with department leaders / operational managers.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Maintains an active and consultative relationship with assigned Business Unit / Operating department.
  • Processes invoices and completes journal entries; oversees completion of all month-end duties for assigned areas.
  • Prepares and presents weekly variance reports to Business Unit leader(s) / Operators.
  • Completes and audits financial reports that summarize divisional financial comparisons in the areas of labor, non-labor, per cap, revenue and VOP.
  • Analyzes performance metrics and identifies areas to improve; advises Business Unit leader(s) with recommendations and solutions to manage within budgets.
  • Guides assigned operating division management in the development of annual operating budgets and quarterly estimates (LE's). Evaluates all costs incurred throughout the year; identifies ways to reduce cost and find efficiencies.
  • Prepares and coordinates special project/event budgets. Make recommendations regarding operational decisions relative to those projects.
  • Provides assistance with automation of department processes.
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor's degree required; preferably in Accounting, Finance or Business Management.
EXPERIENCE:
  • 3+ years' experience in Accounting/Finance; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
