**Job Overview**:
**Responsibilities (may include, but not limited to)**:

- Environmental monitoring, such as stormwater sampling, sediment sampling, soil sampling, surface water sampling, surveys of outfalls, and in-situ flow and water quality measurements.
- Perform and maintain detailed field observations and documentation.
- Assist with the review, analysis, and reporting of collected field data.
- Lead field teams and mentoring junior-level staff.
- Assist in field operations management.
- May assist Project Managers on new or current projects.
- Perform project site maintenance, which may include troubleshooting, cleaning, repairing, installing, or replacing stormwater collection field equipment.
- Maintenance, calibration, and inventory of in-house equipment.
- Effectively and regularly communicate the status of assignments to the Project Manager.
- Some project roles may include long field days, exposure to the elements (sun, rain, wind) for long periods of time, standing for long periods of time, or other possibly physically strenuous activities such as lifting objects.

**Minimum Required Qualifications**:

- B.S. (or higher) in Environmental Science, Water Resource Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, Ecology, or other similar science field.
- Experience conducting environmental monitoring, such as sediment and/or soil sample collection, stormwater monitoring or other water quality monitoring.
- Experience leading field crews on projects is highly preferred.
- Experience with automated stormwater monitoring equipment is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication skills along with basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
- The ability to perform work independently or as part of a team, with mínimal training and supervision.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Can proactively and independently take on new assignments.
- The ability to safely work in various environments or weather conditions, such as in confined spaces, on boats, at heights, and/or during inclement weather.
- The availability to travel for projects located within the state, or locally with overnight hotel stays.
- Must be on call for stormwater monitoring from October 1 to April 30, which may occur during nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Boating experience is desirable.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools is desirable.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs overhead.
- Valid U.S. driver's license and a good driving record.

Pay: $68,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
