Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Scientist to join our team at the State Water Resources Control Board. As an Environmental Scientist, you will play a critical role in preserving California's water quality by regulating dredge or fill activities that impact waters through the disturbance of streambeds, lakes, wetlands, or coastal seafloor.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage dredge or fill permits for various types of activities
- Act as a liaison to the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) for their dredge or fill projects
- Contribute to the preservation of California's water quality through regulatory efforts
- Collaborate with other agencies and stakeholders to ensure compliance with environmental regulations
Requirements
Candidates must possess essential personal qualifications including integrity, initiative, dependability, good judgment, the ability to work cooperatively with others, and the ability to perform the assigned duties of the class. If the position requires driving, you must possess a current and valid driver's license.
