Project Aware Coordinator

The BUUSD Project Aware Coordinator plays a crucial role in partnering with outside agencies to promote the social and emotional well-being of students in the Barre Unified Union School District. This individual utilizes data analysis to assess the effectiveness of academic and non-academic programs and interventions, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance student outcomes. The BUUSD Project Aware Coordinator collaborates with teachers, administrators, parents, and community partners to create a supportive environment that fosters students' social and emotional development. By working closely with various stakeholders, the Coordinator ensures that initiatives are aligned with the needs of the school community and supports continuous improvement in promoting students' academic and social/emotional skills.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university
- 5+ years of experience in a related field
- Demonstrated knowledge of systems and methods such as positive behavior interventions and supports (PBIS), Developmental Designs (DD), Responsive Classroom (RC), response to intervention (RTI), trauma-informed approach, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS), and/or social-emotional learning (SEL)
- Experience using the VTmtss Field Guide, the VT Proficiencies, and the UDL framework
- Comfortable with using different platforms, navigating new technological resources, and supporting others with technology
- Strong interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), and organizational skills
- Ability to develop and foster positive interpersonal relationships with interagency partners, peers, families, and local school staff
- Ability to problem solve, troubleshoot, and be flexible
- Knowledge of the organization, facilities, capabilities, and resources of VT school systems, as well as a working knowledge of students and resources who have an Emotional Disturbance
Position is grant-funded for up to 5 years. Salary is $50,000 - $80,000, based on experience. This year-round position includes benefits and based out of the Central Office.
