Novarc Technologies is looking for a **Benefit and HR Administrator** to join our growing team and support the production of our cobots.

**Position Overview**:
The Benefit and HR Administrator is an integral part of the Novarc team who reports to the Vice President of Human Resources. We are looking for a well versed professional who can streamline and support the HR team on a wide range of tasks such as scheduling orientation and onboarding meetings, diarizing probationary reviews, updating HR records, organizing office and desk set up, and keeping track of records. This person will be involved in many aspects of the Novarc business from administrative to operational support from the People and HR perspective.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
**Benefit Administration for the USA and Canada**:

- Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
- Enroll new employees in the appropriate benefits programs, including reviewing eligibility requirements and collecting necessary paperwork.
- Maintain accurate employee records, benefit coverage, and other relevant information.
- Process benefit claims and work with insurance providers and other service providers to ensure the efficient and accurate handling of claims.
- Work with employees to resolve issues related to their benefits, including answering questions, investigating concerns, and escalating issues as required.
- Educate employees on their benefits, providing information about plan options, changes to benefits, and other relevant topics.
- Manage open enrollment periods, providing employees with information about their benefit options and assisting with the enrollment process.
- Assist with the negotiation of vendor contracts as needed.
- Stay up-to-date with regulations and laws related to employee benefits, ensuring that an organization complies with all relevant requirements.
- Provide reporting and analytics related to employee benefits, including cost analysis, usage trends, and other relevant data.
- Conduct benefits audits, ensuring that the organization is getting the best value for its investment in employee benefits.
- Develop benefits policies, ensuring that the organization's benefits programs are consistent with its overall goals and values.

**HR Support & Administrative tasks**:

- Supporting onboarding of new joiners via office and IT setup, orientation, completing forms, scanning documents, coordination in between departments and other related tasks
- Supporting offboarding matters from updating records to collecting company issued devices and updating inventory records and other related tasks
- Providing administrative support to the HR department as needed..
- Supporting existing employees with employment verifications, conducting research relating to grants, visa extensions, travel requirements to client sites, completing related forms and drafting support documents.
- Maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
- Tracking the attendance of employees and their use of vacation and sick days.
- Registering employees for training (i.e. first aid, forklift, WHMIS, etc.).
- Maintaining master list of employees and contractors.

**Requirement knowledge, skills and abilities**:

- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Benefit Administrator. US benefit admin experience a requirement; Canadian experience an asset.
- 5 years of HR administration experience.
- Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Commerce, or equivalent.
- Experience with ADP is a strong asset.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- High level of professionalism, energy, speed and accuracy.
- Positive attitude, with an eagerness to learn and grow; self starter.
- High Proficiency in Google Suite and Google Workspace.
- This position may sit in Canada (Vancouver, British Columbia) or the US (Houston, Texas)
