The Department of Criminal Justice Service is seeking a collaborative and innovative team player to serve as a part-time (wage) Administrative Training Specialist in Richmond, Virginia. This position supports the Division of Public Safety Training and the Virginia Center for School and Campus Safety, specifically the Active Attack Training Team. What you will do:

- Assist staff members in the planning, design and development of conferences and trainings associated with the active attack training team constituencies to include providing logístical support for trainings, procuring supplies, equipment, and materials, preparing purchase requisitions, preparing training announcements, communicating with participants, and coordinating registration.
- Infrequent overnight travel may be required.
- Performs a wide variety of moderate to complex program and operational support duties.

**Minimum Qualifications**
Experience in establishing and maintaining databases.
- Experience as an administrative assistant or office administration specialist.
- Knowledge of standard office practices and procedures.
- Demonstrated proficiency in word processing and knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent writing and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability in providing logístical support and procurement.
- Ability to articulate, both orally and in written form, clear and concise program objectives and goals and summarize achievements of programs in reports and other documents as requested.
- Documented experience working as an active, contributing team member, as well as an independent and self-motivated employee.
- Demonstrated ability to meet critical deadlines, handle multiple assignments, changing priorities, and ensure timeliness and quality of completed assignments.
- Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality.

**Additional Considerations**
- Knowledge and experience with State procurement processes.
