Financial Operations Lead

**JOB PURPOSE AND REPORTING STRUCTURE**:
Under the direction of and reporting to the CFO, the Financial Operations Lead will provide accurate and timely financial and operational analysis, focus on business partnerships with sales and operations, obtain an in depth understanding of D365, Adaptive and CPQ, lead our annual operating plan and forecasting, and ensure the reliability of cost of sales and the valuation of inventory.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded from time to time to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary.

Acts as a safety leader and puts safety first in all responsibilities. Works in conjunction with Human Resources and Safety departments to establish and maintain all policies and programs to assure a safe working environment. Complies with all safety and health guidelines, quality standard practices/procedures, and housekeeping standards.

Responsible for meeting or exceeding company performance metrics for driving continuous improvement and making well-informed decisions for manufacturing activities, resource allocation, and strategic planning.

Partner with Accounting and Information Technology departments on shared service activities with focus on automation.

Lead the company-wide annual operating plan as well as monthly forecasting.

Business partner with various members of management assisting with monthly financial results, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.

Special projects, ad hoc analysis, ROI calculations and other projects as assigned.

Inventory valuation and analysis of inventory adjustments.

Review costs for new bills of materials and routes for accuracy.

Complete weekly cost roll and review discrepancies.

Monitor variance accounts and provide analysis.

Perform product line and individual job profit analysis.
- Reconcile perpetual inventory records to the general ledger. Create and post adjusting journal entries as needed.
- Review customer shipments for cost accuracy.
- Provide accurate sales and manufacturing reports.
- Audit cost data, inventory quantities, and sales prices for accuracy.
- Calculate labor and overhead rates for inventory valuation and pricing. Annual calculation and rolling of raw material standard costs.
- Assist with financial and tax audits.
- Complete quarterly and annual government and association surveys/censuses.

**Experience**: Preferred
- 5 year(s): Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

**Education**: Required
- Bachelors or better in Accounting or related field
