SSISTANT DIRECTOR RESPONSIBILITIES* *Daily Operations*
- Actively manage cemetery database with our contractor and process burial records and preference forms (data entry and filing), and keep a strong working knowledge of cemetery management software
- Give tours to educate patrons on conservation burial and our cemetery
- Meet with clients for burial ceremony and/or body disposition planning
- Lead and support burial ceremonies
- Attend and create reports and other materials for monthly Board of Directors meetings
- Delegate operational tasks as needed to staff, interns, and volunteers
- Work alongside CBI Board and Executive Director to establish policies *Communications*
- Contribute to PCCC’s online social-media presence
- Maintain and update PCCC’s website as needed *Programming

- Assist Operations Coordinators with calling volunteers for digging graves and burials
- Facilitate cemetery events including volunteer days, planting days, PCCC’s annual memorial celebration, educational presentations, and more *Fundraising*
- Work alongside CBI Fundraising Committee to develop fundraising strategies, fund drives, and events
- Manage PCCC’s recurring donor “Sustainer” program
- Maintain familiarity of CBI’s finances and financial goals *SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS*
- Familiarity with nonprofit policies, procedures, and organizational structure
- Work easily and comfortably with people of all beliefs and backgrounds
- Have excellent oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
- Experience with HP & Mac computers, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, Facebook and Instagram, and familiarity with Trello and Constant Contact
- Be confident performing strenuous physical activity outdoors for extended periods
- Be comfortable working in the death services arena while extending compassion and empathy to the friends and families that we encounter
- Experience and enthusiasm for environmentalism, conservation and land management *WORK HOURS & REQUIREMENTS*
- Typical work weeks are five eight-hour days, often with variations according to organizational needs. Flexible scheduling and occasional remote work are permitted. Some evening and weekend work is required.
- This position requires work outdoors and exposure to Florida’s weather extremes and nature. Inclement weather may present challenges that require flexibility of plans.
- Management, fundraising, and burials include inherent mental demands such as urgent deadlines, prioritizing competing deadlines, working with clients or employees who are facing challenging situations, and being involved in multiple projects. *COMPENSATION & BENEFITS*
