**Job Description And Duties**

The Department of Financial Protection and Innovation is recruiting for one (1), permanent, full-time Marketing Analyst position within the Public Affairs Division. This position is to be located in the Sacramento, Los Angeles, San Diego, or San Francisco office. This recruitment may be used to fill subsequent vacancies of these positions within the next 180 days.

Under the direction of the Digital Marketing Director, the Marketing Analyst is responsible for collaboratively creating and tactically executing an integrated marketing strategy for the Department of Financial Protection and Innovation in alignment with the department’s brand and goals.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement marketing materials in collaboration with the Content Production Specialist to ensure target audiences understand, participate in, and accept department programs and policies.
- Independently plan, execute, and monitor marketing campaigns using various traditional and nontraditional methods to promote DFPI products.
- Support community outreach efforts by assisting with event planning, creating marketing materials, and attending events as required.
- Manage the marketing budget, reconcile expenses, and make recommendations for cost optimization.
- Perform data analysis and create reports and dashboards to track progress towards departmental KPIs.

**Minimum Qualifications**

Education: The following education is required when general experience is used to qualify at any level: equivalent to graduation from college. (Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.) **AND**

Either I

Experience: One year of experience performing the duties of a Staff Services Analyst, Range C. **Or**

Or II

Experience: Three years of professional analytical experience performing duties in one or a combination of the following or closely related areas: budgeting, management analysis, personnel, planning, program evaluation, or policy analysis.

(One year of graduate work in public or business administration, industrial relations, psychology, law, political science, or a related field may be substituted for six months of the required nonsupervisory experience.)
