**Job Summary**:
Maricopa Community Colleges District Office is seeking an analytical and self-motivated Fiscal Specialist

This opportunity involves performing various accounting and administrative tasks related to the collection of student receivables, handling student bankruptcies, and preparing 1098-T forms. It requires researching, analyzing, and responding to complex student inquiries, as well as assisting in the administration of the Federal Perkins Loan Program. Additionally, the opportunity includes providing moderately complex accounting and financial support. This may involve monitoring the integrity and accuracy of financial transactions, enforcing routine procedures, and researching problems to recommend resolutions.

**Essential Functions**:
30% - Responds to complex inquiries related to collections and Perkins Loans, student receivables, federal tax documentation for
student tax credit, state tax offsets, and bankruptcies.

20% - Performs daily activities relating to collections and Perkins Loans, including downloading files, communicating with Collection
Agencies and AZ Department of Revenue staff.

10% - Researches and responds to students that contest their debts related to the Debt Setoff Program.

10% - Works closely with District IT to coordinate transmissions and receipt of collection agency data files and 1098-T forms.

10% - Responsible for daily activities related to collections, student receivables, 1098-T forms, and student bankruptcies.

10% - Responsible for Perkins loan data transmissions and coordination with Perkins Loan Services.

10% - Reconciliation of various clearing accounts and other duties as assigned.

A. A. Two (2) or more years of progressive experience with collection and maintenance of student receivables.
B. Experience with Title IV student financial aid program regulations.
C. Experience in finance, accounting, and/or reconciliations.
D. Experience with software (on-line) systems requiring file transmissions coordination with other systems and users (ex. internal and external users).
E. Two (2) or more years of experience providing customer service in a fast-paced environment.
