Farming Purchasing and Inventory Specialist

Overview:
**TITLE: FARMING PURCHASING AND INVENTORY SPECIALIST**

**LOCATION: BAKERSFIELD, CA**

**COMPENSATION: $17.00 - $21.00 / HOUR**

**PURPOSE**:
Perform inventory receiving, storing, and distributing functions at the Mountain View Farm Shop. Perform functions including purchase order placement, receiving and invoice processing with the ability to work with multiple departments including farming, harvesting, grower accounting finance and Infor administration.

**ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS**:

- Ensure receipt and inspection of incoming materials and supplies
- Maintain accuracy of physical inventory in Infor EAM utilizing regular cycle counts
- Oversee maintenance of all records regarding material purchases and receipts
- Support users in the farming division with Infor EAM for purchasing and inventory management
- Insure prompt and accurate execution of purchase orders from inception through completion
- Process purchase order receipt transactions and voucher invoices for prompt vendor payments
- Provide professional service to both internal and external customers
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of storeroom area
- Ensure the confidentiality of Grimmway financial and proprietary information
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned by the supervisor

**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS**:
Ability to frequently move about inside the office (including stairs and walking in uneven surfaces). Must be able to remain in a stationary position throughout much of the working day. Ability to operate a computer and other office productivity equipment. Ability to continuously work with product and equipment at ground level. Must be able to move items weighing up to 30 lbs.

- Must perform well with multiple priorities and be customer focused with the ability to work independently with mínimal supervision and in a team environment
- Positive attitude with a team mentality as well as flexible and adaptable to change
- Must have good communication skills
- Remote work not available for this position
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
- Must pass pre-placement drug/alcohol screen, physical and functional capacity evaluation
