Under the supervision of the Staff Services Manager II, the Staff Services Analyst studies, reviews, and applies the principles and techniques of the California State procurement of Non-Information Technology (Non-IT) goods and services, contracting policies, practices, procedures, and approval processes. The incumbent performs a wide variety of analytical, technological, and consultative duties of average difficulty that require independence of action, analysis, and initiative, in support of the Commission members, and all levels of staff. This position requires fiduciary responsibility, critical thinking skills, and flexibility to effectively perform the essential functions as a fleet coordinator and buyer within the Business Services Unit (BSU). Must be part of the DMV Employer Pull Notice (EPN) Program (SAM Section 0751) and have a valid CA driver's license.

Working Conditions
- Primarily an indoor office setting located in Sacramento.
- Work environment is mostly inside an office with artificial light and forced air temperature control. The position requires some non-inside work.
- Travel to Commission field offices and other agencies will be necessary.
- Overnight travel may be necessary depending on the length of a project or training.
- Ability to use a personal or state vehicle to travel for business.
- Use step ladder to stock shelves with office supply goods.
- Must complete assignments in a timely and efficient manner and adhere to departmental policies and procedures regarding attendance, leave, and conduct.
