Social media and events at Woofie’s are an important part of our overall marketing and community outreach efforts. The event coordinator helps to plan and execute events by coordinating with local businesses, and scheduling for events such as Yappy Hours, Bark N’ Brunch, Bark Bash, fundraisers, and more. The event coordinator will average about 1-2 hours of planning per event with an expectation of between 6-9 events executed per year, especially in the cooler months - Winter through Spring. A natural tie-in is creating consistent posts on social media to create buzz around events and to engage new and existing customers through creative and fun posts.

**Skills Required**:
A love of pets and a love of people

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Attention to detail

Great organizational skills

Ability to customize each event and post as needed

Ability to negotiate and budget for event-related costs

Amazing customer service skills

Knowledge around event planning, social media, and execution of both

Ability to provide and deliver creative content (text, image, and video)

***Knowledge of Woofie’s of North and East Tucson pet services offerings

***Documented experience as a Social Media Coordinator

**Responsibilities**:
Identify requirements needed for each event

Manage vendors and/or associated businesses for each event

Identify and coordinate team members and hours needed for each event

Communicates with event staff prior to, during, and post event

Execute each event, analyze success of each event, and report on success

Get approval for any costs associated with each event

Order and inventory items and materials needed for events

Posts and marketing content should be directed to the TARGET GEOGRAPHY: North and East Tucson - NOT to social media at large

Create and manage content calendar to ensure posts are effectively and strategically executed

Seek and create opportunities to capture photos and videos of Woofie’s team members, events, or other marketing images

Facilitate online conversations with customers and respond to questions and posts

Create posts to sustain readers’ curiosity and create excitement around Woofie’s offerings

Recommend new ways to attract prospective customers, like promotions, competitions, and events

Create, write/edit, schedule, and publish posts on a recommended frequency on platforms including, but not limited to, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and NextDoor

Build a range of engaging social media content (e.g., videos, photos, key messages) across the major social media accounts

Seek and create opportunities to capture photos and videos of Woofie’s of North and East Tucson team members, events, or other marketing images

Analyze and assess performance across social media channels. This includes performance of individual posts and content to measure effectiveness, efficiency, and impact. Prepare consistent reporting and analysis to track social performance

a. Performance expectations are NOT about engagement of social media platforms at large, but instead to specific target demographics for new or existing clients and interested communities within North and East Tucson

b. Marketing dollars should only be spent to attract new clients, motivate existing clients and ultimately toward increasing revenue

Provide real-time social media monitoring of comments on platforms and develop strategy for replying
