**Responsibilities**:

- Front desk duties include, greeting visitors, distributing mail and answering a multiline phone system in conjunction with the automated attendant.

- Assist with onboarding new employees, coordinate with HR Director on hiring process
- Support the HR department with benefit tracking, scheduling interviews, etc.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws and regulations
- Ensures compliance with USCIS Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification; Periodically audits Forms I-9
- Monitors employee eligibility for benefits plans. Reviews benefits with employee and processes enrollment, cancellation or changes.
- Tracking hours worked on various spreadsheets for monthly reporting.
- Use web browsers to research various items
- File and maintain file system in accordance with company policy, both original and electronic copies.

**Skills**:

- Must have excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills to accurately document and report findings to a variety of audiences.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to influence and guide employees, customers and other external parties.
- Excellent computer skills; working knowledge of Microsoft Office, as well as Vista by Viewpoint is highly desirable. Ability to learn new systems
- The ability to organize, schedule, and coordinate multiple tasks.
- Working knowledge of standard office equipment, copiers, fax machines, postage machines, etc.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential as is the ability to work extended hours when timeline requires

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR FORMAL TRAINING, YEARS OF EXPERIENCE, COMPETENCIES, SKILLS AND/OR SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE:

- Minimum 3 years’ experience in an office environment, construction field is preferred but not required.
- A general understanding of Prevailing Wage is helpful.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Self-motivated and proactive solution seeker.
- An outgoing, positive attitude while working alone and with a team, with both internal and external parties.

All Hazard Construction positions require satisfactory completion of a physical ability test and clean drug and alcohol screening.
