**Summary**:
Responsible for the overall operational direction, administration and coordination of activities within the Security department. Ensure the safety and protection of patrons, employees, and assets. This includes, but not limited to, leading the security team, developing, and implementing and ensuring the proper execution of comprehensive security and emergency response plans, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting a safe and welcoming environment for all guests and employees.

**Essential Functions and Responsibilities**:
Leadership and Management
- Hire, train, develop, measure performance, and discipline of division’s staff
- Advise staff of new procedures that may be implemented within the department
- Address and resolve complaints from subordinates
- Supervise all investigations performed by the Security department
- Develop and implement staffing plans that provide divisional leadership appropriate labor to meet guest service and operational expectations
- Ensure that scheduling is done in an effective and efficient manner, while maintaining labor costs, meeting staffing objectives, gaming regulations and guest satisfaction
- Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters

Security Operations
- Ensure transfer of table games fills and credits, including providing escorts when needed
- Develop, implement, and enforce security policies, procedures, and protocols
- Regularly identify, analyze, and proactively mitigate potential security threats to the casino, including theft, vandalism, violence, and other criminal activity
- Manage security technology, including CCTV, alarms, access control, and radio systems
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies
- Conduct, supervise and prepare reports relating to investigations of any losses or violations of law, regulations, policies or procedures

Emergency Readiness
- Examine and analyze the physical property, then develop, maintain, analysis, and update the property’s Emergency Response Plan and procedures relating to disaster preparedness, response, and recovery.
- Identify and assess property risks related to potential emergencies as part of preparedness activities
- Coordinate emergency response efforts with internal teams, local emergency services, and stakeholders
- Organize and lead emergency drills and exercises
- Ensure the availability and functionality of emergency equipment and resources
- Stay abreast of best practices, regulations, and technologies in emergency preparedness and response

Regulatory Compliance
- Serve as liaison with gaming regulators, public law enforcement, fire and other agencies by maintaining a positive and constructive relationship.

Perform other duties as assigned

**Qualifications, Education, and Experience**

Required:

- Previous work experience in a leadership capacity in security, police, or military
- Experience initiating and conducting fair and thorough investigations and providing comprehensive yet clear findings
- Strong relationship-building skills
- Experience developing assessments and policies & procedures
- Working knowledge of fire safety, life safety, and venue security
- Functional understanding of, and experience using, computers and computer programs applicable to the job duties
- At least 21 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, including both written and verbal forms
- Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company
- Verify right to work in the United States

Preferred:

- Strong background in security management, strategic planning, and crisis response
- Bachelors’ Degree or equivalent from a four (4) year college. Preferred Degree in Emergency Management, Public Safety or Law enforcement

**Certificates, Licenses, Registrations**:

- New Hampshire State Gaming License (_must be able to pass a background check_)
- Valid New Hampshire State Driver License
- CPR First Aid card or ability to obtain within 60 days

**Physical Requirements**
- Duties may involve sitting or walking for long periods of time
- Ability to run, including up and/or down stairs, for short periods of time
- Specific required movements include the following: Trunk-bend, twist, rotate, push, pull, and carry. Arms-reach, carry, push, pull, lift, twist, and rotate. Legs-lift, push, pull, twist, and rotate. Hands-grasp, manipulate, bilateral coordination, eye and hand coordination, overall and finger dexterity.
- Must be able to lift 30 lbs.

**Work Environment Potential Conditions**
- Work is primarily performed indoors, with some outdoor patrol required
- Must be able to work long hours under busy conditions
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud
- The work environment may vary in levels of crowds, noise, and smoke, depending on the assigned station and customer volume
