What the day will look like
Aon Consulting, Inc. seeks a Health Solutions Actuarial Analyst in The Woodlands, Texas to conduct actuarial analysis. Provide actuarial assistance for health and benefits underwriting. Conduct underwriting analysis based on plan history and change in risk to negotiate insurance rates. Analyze flexible benefit pricing. Assist consultants with negotiating renewal ratings and prepare quarterly documents for renewals and financial reports. Perform market reviews and benchmarks. Prepare financial exhibits to meet evolving business needs. Analyze quotations and prepare specifications for seeking quotations. Prepare and review quotation results for customer reports. Review group insurance contracts, agreements, and employee booklets. Assist in analytic projects, including pooling risk simulations and drugs utilization reviews. Assist in collecting and completing input for financial models including Incurred But Not Reported (IBNR) Claims models, Actuarial Value Plan Models, and Pricing Models. Develop summary on all key financial components of marketing and provide recommendations. Collect and submit needed financial data for benchmarking projects. Utilize Microsoft Office, including MS Excel and MS PowerPoint. Organize data and databases using MS Access and SQL. Prepare contribution scenarios. Provide cost estimates for Healthcare Reform expected fees or upcoming taxes. Assist in new business sales opportunities as needed. Local telecommuting available up to 2 days a week. Annual salary: $78,333 - $118,400.
Skills and experience that will lead to success
Requires a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Actuarial Science or a related field plus one year of actuarial analysis experience. Must have at least one year of experience in each of the following: 1. Providing actuarial assistance for health and benefits underwriting; 2. Reviewing group insurance contracts, agreements, and employee booklets; 3. Assisting in analytic projects, including pooling risk simulations and drugs utilization reviews; 4. Assisting in collecting and completing input for financial models including Incurred But Not Reported (IBNR) Claims models, Actuarial Value Plan Models, and Pricing Models; 5. Collecting and submitting financial data for benchmarking projects; 6. Utilizing Microsoft Office, including MS Excel and MS PowerPoint; and 7. Organizing data and databases using MS Access and SQL.

The salary range for this position is $78,333 - $118,400 annually.
