Role Summary

This position will focus on developing business solutions analytics under the guidance of the Business Solutions Manager, emphasizing profit generation through cost-saving initiatives, optimization, and other strategies aimed at enhancing customer satisfaction regarding savings and waste diversion while maximizing profitability across all business lines.

The role demands excellent analytical (Excel) and communication skills—both written and verbal—to effectively engage with clients, vendors, and colleagues. Collaboration with various organizational departments is essential to achieve profit generation objectives.

Utilizing technology to bolster profit generation activities is a key component of this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establishing Baselines through diverse data sources (invoices, client information, completed site assessments)
  • Developing profit-generating projects and proposals
  • Meeting deadlines for profit-generating initiatives
  • Aligning with organizational profit strategies as directed by the Business Solutions Manager
  • Fostering positive and motivating relationships with internal and external teams
  • Maintaining and updating existing data
  • Employing statistical methods to analyze information (invoices, systems, sales, or other data) and devise solutions to business challenges
  • Providing problem-solving resources and solutions for complex initiatives to team members
  • Delivering profit-generating solutions as directed by the Business Solutions Manager to meet monthly profit targets
  • Ensuring thoroughness and accuracy in all initiatives and projects
  • Collaborating with various departments including finance, contract administration, sales, client services, analytics, implementation, and vendor relations
  • Completing other duties and ad hoc projects as assigned
  • Maintaining consistent and punctual attendance

Qualifications

  • Minimum Education Requirement: Associate's degree or related field, or a combination of relevant work experience and education
  • At least three years of experience and knowledge in profit generation, including performance monitoring, problem resolution, and quality product delivery
  • Ability to think creatively and solve problems as they arise
  • Proven track record of accuracy and timely delivery of assignments (Attention to Detail)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Effectively prioritizes daily tasks and manages time efficiently (Project Management)
  • Adapts well in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment
  • Open to learning new skills and concepts
  • Willingness to assist team members
  • Ability to simplify complex concepts into understandable language
  • Self-motivated with growth potential, detail-oriented, and possesses strong interpersonal skills to gather necessary information from various sources

Required Microsoft Excel Skills:

  • Advanced Excel skills are essential, including the ability to create and analyze Pivot Tables and utilize advanced formulas such as XLOOKUP and VLOOKUP.
  • Capability to manage and manipulate large datasets
  • Proficiency in Power Query is highly preferred

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Demonstrated ability to understand client needs and manage relationships with professionalism
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal/written communication, and decision-making skills
  • Proficient in standard software packages and quick to learn new software for data collection and project completion
  • Strong skills in negotiation, analysis, planning, problem-solving, organization, and project management
