The Golden Years of Randolph is seeking a part-time Activity Coordinator. This role will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing a comprehensive activities program that meets the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive needs of residents in a medium Community-Based Residential Facility (CBRF). The coordinator will create engaging activities that enhance the quality of life for all residents, fostering a sense of community and belonging. Normal hours would be 11-2 weekdays and would also support Resident Assistant during lunch hours to prepare and clean up from meal.

**Reports To**: Administrator

**Employment Status**: Part-Time (15-20 hrs per week)

**Key Responsibilities**:
1. Program Development and Implementation:

- Design and organize a diverse schedule of activities that cater to the interests and abilities of all residents. Monthly calendar will be posted in each house for residents to view.
- Ensure activities meet the physical, cognitive, social, and emotional needs of residents.
- Adjust activities to accommodate residents with varying levels of ability and care needs.

2. Resident Engagement:

- Encourage resident participation in activities through effective communication and personalized invitations.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment that promotes resident interaction and socialization.
- Conduct assessments to understand resident preferences, needs, and feedback to tailor activities accordingly.

3. Team Collaboration:

- Coordinate with nursing staff, caregivers, and other team members to integrate activities into the overall care plan.
- Communicate effectively with families regarding the activity program and their loved one’s participation.

4. Resource Management:

- Manage the activities budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
- Work with Administrators to source and maintain necessary supplies and equipment for activities.
- Collaborate with community organizations and volunteers to enhance the activities program.

5. Event Planning:

- Work with Administrators to organize special events, outings, and holiday celebrations that are inclusive and enjoyable for residents.
- Ensure all events are safe, well-coordinated, and enriching for the residents.

1. Strong organizational and planning skills.

2. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

3. Creativity and the ability to develop engaging activity programs.

4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

5. Empathy and understanding of the needs of elderly and disabled individuals.

**Physical Requirements**:
1. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

2. Prolonged periods of standing and walking.

3. Capability to lead and participate in physical activities as needed.

**Work Environment**:
1. Primarily indoor setting with occasional outdoor activities.

2. Interaction with residents, families, staff, and volunteers.
