About the Role

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Activities Assistant to join our team. As an Activities Assistant, you will play a vital role in creating a engaging and enriching experience for our residents.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning and implementing resident-centered activities and programs that promote socialization, physical activity, and mental stimulation.
  • Collaborate with the community team to ensure a balanced and diverse activity program that meets the needs and interests of our residents.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local businesses, organizations, and schools to secure volunteer support and resources for activities and events.
  • Document and track resident participation, feedback, and outcomes to inform program development and improvement.
  • Participate in quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with Sunrise Senior Living's quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • One year of experience in a senior living community or a related field.
  • Ability to lead activities and motivate volunteers and team members to participate in social events and activities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and team members.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
