**THE POSITION**:
**DESCRIPTION OF WORK**:
In the role of a Roadway Programs Technician 2, your main responsibility will be to conduct technical analysis and provide independent evaluation of the maintenance work programs carried out by the Department of Transportation Montgomery Maintenance Office. This will involve various tasks such as reviewing requisitions, preparing bid documents, evaluating and awarding bids, creating contracts and purchase orders, and utilizing a department purchasing card within Montgomery County. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all aspects, including policies, procedures, goals, and objectives, are met by analyzing data related to maintenance activities, programs, and costs.

**Work Schedule and Additional Information**:

- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Summer hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

**REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY**:
**QUALIFICATIONS**
**Minimum Experience and Training Requirements**:

- One year as a Roadway Programs Technician 1; **or**:

- One year of experience in analysis of data utilized in planning and scheduling of work, materials and equipment, and an Associate's Degree in the field of Business Administration, Computer Science, Highway Engineering Technology or closely related program; **or**:

- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
