Regional Yard Manager

The Regional Yard Manager will be responsible for overseeing the regional yard team and ensuring efficient lifecycle management and deployment of McCarthy’s equipment, fleet and tooling. The position requires a blend of strategic and tactical thinking, operational expertise and safety. This role will be based out of McCarthy Building Companies office in Chandler, Arizona.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead and mentor the regional yard team, providing guidance, support, and opportunities for professional development.
- Work closely with Equipment and Fleet managers to develop regional procurement strategy.
- Assists National Yard director in national equipment, fleet and tooling strategy.
- Provide and ensure a high level of customer service is provided.
- Oversee Equipment team, Fleet team, and Operations teams to deliver a positive customer service experience and maintain profitability.
- Develop, plan, and implement departmental goals and objectives.
- Assess and analyze staff performance through evaluation methods to drive continuous improvement and achieve organizational goals. Maintain accurate records of financial information, conduct quarterly and annual profit projections.
- Prepare, administer, and manage annual operating budget for the regional yard.
- Evaluate capital investment strategy, needs/disposals and develop overall regional equipment fleet strategy.
- Establish and manage contracts with regional vendors to ensure seamless operations. Cooperate with regional yard managers in national equipment strategy.
- Conduct annual equipment rate evaluations and updates in cooperation with the national yard team.
**Skills & Qualifications**
- 10+ years’ experience in related field or equivalent technical background.
- Demonstrated leadership proficiency with a minimum of 8 years of supervisory experience. Experience with construction planning
- Excellent communication, organizational, decision-making, and critical thinking skills required.
- Proven expertise in strategic planning and program development
- General knowledge of construction principles/practices and equipment required.
- Ability to travel throughout the Southwest region as needed.
- Demonstrated ability to excel within a collaborative team environment.
- Proven track record of consistently exceeding expectations through a strong work ethic.
