Summary
The Customer Service Specialist is responsible for many varied tasks within the parts department, including but not limited to the following duties and responsibilities.
Essential
**Responsibilities**:
- Supporting customer requests including quoting, entering orders our ERP system, printing off orders & pick lists, etc.
- Managing customer portals
- Picking and packing parts orders whenever primary responsibilities are fulfilled and/or in a backup support capacity whenever needed.
- Processing the receipts of incoming replenishment parts through verifying the accuracy of each order, putting them into their appropriate inventory locations, and processing that receipt within the inventory tracking system in a backup support capacity whenever needed.
- Maintaining accurate parts inventory counts through accurately recording of all parts incoming and outgoing transactions, ensuring that parts are kept in their correct designated locations accurately, and through periodic cycle counting in a backup support capacity whenever needed.
- Performing all tasks within the framework of a Gold Standard of customer support.
- Performing warehouse housekeeping through aisle sweeping, warehouse organizing, and removing trash and other department clutter.
- Be an active contributor to the continued growth of the parts department through assisting with changes and contributing ideas for improvement.
- Supporting all sales and service areas of Handtmann
- Processing of returns.
- Consistently maintain thorough and accurate paperwork and other departmental records.
- Potentially become part of the Parts Department weekend rotation for customer parts support at some point in the future.
**Qualifications**:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Knowledge
Required:
- 3+ years of order entry & customer service experience in a manufacturing segment.
- 3+ years of ERP experience. SysPro would be ideal but not required.
- High School Diploma or GED
Abilities
- Able to learn quickly and at times work independently.
- Availability to work the required number of hours to complete the job, including occasional overtime and weekend work.
- Ability to handle continuous interruptions and multiple tasks throughout the day, while managing workload and deadlines.
Computer Skills
Pay: $20.73 - $24.96 per hour
