**Field Service Manager**

The Service Manager position is a full-time position responsible for managing and supporting the Field Service Technicians in a wide variety of technical duties related to the inspection, installation, troubleshooting, service and repairs of equipment placed at client site or at the office. The Service Manager and Service Team are also responsible for product receipt and inspection, where applicable.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following**:

- Provides overall leadership and supervision for the continued growth, development and future of the service department and business.
- Directs and leads staffing, training and performance evaluations to drive a successful Service Department.
- Supervises and directs all Field Service Technicians (FST) in daily activities including scheduled services, follow-ups, completion activities, training, preparations, product receipts and inspections.
- Provides service and client support during system installations, field visits, warranty service calls or emergency services, including working alongside FST’s to motivate and maintain employee engagement, where appropriate.
- Ensures FST’s are prepared for Service, Installation and/or site visits prior to execution (i.e. SSR created, Toolkit stocked, Consumables packed, procedures, client specific requirements, etc.)
- Reviews completed System Service Reports (SSR) and Sales Orders (SO) to ensure they are accurate and complete; and identify any follow-up items with the client.
- Supports in problem-solving, diagnosing and correcting on-site errors or technical problems. Cooperates with technical team when necessary.
- Documents and provides direct communication of any service visit events, issues and/or concerns to Management.
- Produces accurate, timely and detailed Service Reports and Sales Order processing for billing.
- Reports on the status of customer situations, action plans, and customer specific deliverables to Management on an on-going basis.
- Manages and maintains vehicle fleet with necessary records including but not limited to necessary reports, inspections, maintenance scheduling, certifications, insurance, mileage tracking, etc.
- Supports and/or manages the development of client service proposals.
- Promotes PLS during client interactions and through participation in Marketing Events, as well as by meeting client and company service expectations.
- Association’s Degree (AA or AS) from an accredited college/university in a related field with 3-5 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination. In addition to 2 years of Supervisory experience.
- Chemistry/Biology college courses or certifications preferred
- Minimum 6 mos. experience in a laboratory environment
- Trained in Aseptic Techniques
- Strong organizational and time management skills, detail oriented and strong work ethic - self-motivated, self-disciplined and productive.
- Excellent listening, written and oral communication skills, including the ability to create and present decision support materials that make complex information easy to understand.
- Excellent follow-through and the ability to prioritize and work effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to implement recommendations and drive change initiatives.
- Computer literate - Must be familiar with basic Microsoft Office software suite programs (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), Adobe Acrobat and must be able to learn web-based programs for customer facing relationships.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
