The State of New Hampshire, (Agency, Division & Bureau/Unit) has a full-time/part-time, seasonal/temporary) vacancy for Technical Service & Compliance Program Assistant II.

**Summary**:
Performs a broad array of program and paraprofessional duties in support of the Air Resources Division for Technical Service Bureau (TSB) and the Compliance Bureau (CB).

**YOUR EXPERIENCE COUNTS**:

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**:
**Education**: Associate's degree from an accredited institute of higher education with major study in accounting, business administration, environmental studies, or a related field. Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience.

**Experience**: Three years of experience in an accounting, business administration, or environmental program position, with responsibility for providing program information to others. Each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.

**License/Certification**:None required.

**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**: Skill in retrieving, compiling and reporting data according to established procedures. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word. Ability to be flexible and adapt quickly to changes in priorities, work independently, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with NHDES employees, the public, and state/local officials. Prior experience with NHFIRST and accounting is highly preferred.

**Responsibilities**:
Assists with the preparation of in/out-of-state travel requests and travel reimbursement vouchers to ensure that all necessary approvals are attached and all charges are allowable, manages consumables and office equipment for the TSB and CB, including supplies for the printers/copiers and printer/copier maintenance. Orders scientific articles from various libraries and scientific journals.

Performs a range of program functions including drafting correspondences to grantees and grant originators, G&C submissions, scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and monitoring program policies and procedures to support TSB and CB administrators and staff. Assists senior TSB and CB staff in developing and delivering training and educational events for staff, regulated facilities and the public.

Tracks all equipment inventory for the Air Resources Division as well as maintains state vehicles fleet. Coordinates scheduling, and maintenance needed for vehicles.

Assists the Program Specialist II in the management of the physical and electronic files of the Air Resources Central Source Files, including maintaining the confidential correspondence log and managing related confidential materials. Evaluates physical data storage for Bureau programs and makes recommendations to the Bureau Administrator regarding data retention timeframes and future resource needs

Coordinates and serves as the point of contact for public hearings and meetings, including: scheduling; agenda preparation; coordination of logistics such as town hall reservations; providing electronic equipment; preparation of handouts; responding to public inquiries and providing general program guidance regarding the hearing/meeting; and any other related tasks. Attends Council meetings for the purpose of recording the proceedings, as required by Env-A 203.03, and compiles any associated written testimony received.

Conducts quarterly alternative fuel provider surveys by contacting New Hampshire fuel station operators to determine the type of fuels dispensed and current prices, and prepares the required report; and assists with stakeholder outreach and information gathering for the Clean Cities Annual Report in support of the federally-funded Granite State Clean Cities program.

Assists program staff with education and outreach event planning and preparation, including attending events to assist with set up and take-down, and managing attendee registration.

Continually seeks to improve practices to add quality and value in support of the Department’s mission while identifying and eliminating unnecessary or redundant actions.
