The Windham Southeast School District (WSESD) is an increasingly diverse community with an ongoing commitment to social justice and anti-racism. We are looking for enthusiastic professionals to join us in furthering this work.After School Program Coordinator, Green Street SchoolThe after school program runs for one hour, three days a week during three sessions of 6-8 weeks. Programs are designed and staffed by school employees; a coordinators role is to tie the pieces together for promoting, organizing and overseeing the programs. Stipend: $5,000 for the school year.Skill Set required: Computer savvy (especially spreadsheets, google docs & slides), great communication and strong organizational skills.
**Responsibilities**: - Collect staff interest in providing programs
- Collect and design full program of offerings by grade, number of students, and equitable distribution of registration for students
- Promote the programs in school newsletter (submit verbiage and registration links to admin assistant)
- Collect and collate registrations; create data collection sheets regarding which kids are in which programs
- Provide sheets for classroom teachers and school office regarding which of their students go to which activities on which days
- Take parent calls (switching programs, questions/confirmations of scheduled program dates, etc)
- Order snacks for programs (provided, packaged by Cafe Services) and track number of snacks provided (for After School Snack program funding). Store unused snacks. Take attendance during after school program and contact parents whose children forgot to stay for their program and got on the bus to go home (and may end up home alone because the parent had an expectation that they'd be at their program)
- Contact parents who haven't come to pick up their students at the end of the program
