GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
As the Development Assistant for Campaign & Stewardship, you will carry out a variety of responsibilities associated with the cultivation and stewardship of the Museum’s Trustees, high-level individual donors and prospects, and other individual donors and prospects. You will help execute the Campaign and Stewardship team’s work related to the administration of gifts. You will provide administrative support for senior staff.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
- Draft acknowledgement letters and other correspondence related to gifts of cash for the Museum’s campaigns and endowments as well as other related written communications, as needed, for Trustees and individual donors and prospects.- Administer the tracking of prospect and donor engagement for the Museum’s various campaigns through a moves management system.- Provide administrative support for large-scale mailings and donor recognition and stewardship efforts.- Provide administrative and logístical support as needed for Trustee meetings, project-specific fundraising task forces, Major Gifts Committee meetings, and related meetings.- Assist with logistics and follow-up for cultivation initiatives led by Trustees and members of the Major Gifts Committee.- Assist, as needed, with the preparation and finalization of funding proposals, reports, and related materials.- Interface, as required, with members of the Museum’s curatorial and administrative departments.- Maintain and update donor database records.- Available to work day and evening events.- Other related duties.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- BA degree or equivalent experience required; Art History, Art Administration, or English degree preferred.- Cover letter required.- Previous experience in development or a related field, ideally in a non-profit context, strongly preferred.- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.- Ability to work well with others, as well as independently.- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.- Strong computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office.- Experience with Tessitura or other major development database system preferred.- Experience with Workday or other financial management system preferred.- Interest in the arts and a commitment to the Museum's mission.

COMPENSATION RATE:
- Pay Rate: $31.00 / HourlyLocation Requirements

At time of employment, employees are expected to be located within commuting distance of the Museum. “Commuting distance” means that they are located in one of following states: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, or Pennsylvania (the “Tri-state and PA” areas), and be able to commute to and from the Museum in a single day.
