Job Summary:

The Development Executive, Real Estate Campaign is a key member of the UJA team responsible for driving fundraising efforts in the real estate industry. This role requires a strong understanding of the industry and the ability to develop and implement effective fundraising strategies.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Donor Engagement: Educate donors and prospects about the mission of UJA-Federation of New York, inspiring them to give through one-on-one meetings, fundraising events, educational programs, volunteer projects, agency visits, and missions.
  • Fundraising Strategies: Develop and implement appropriate fundraising strategies to increase dollars raised for the annual campaign.
  • Event Planning: Organize small- and large-scale events, collaborating with event managers and project managers across the organization.
  • Divisional Collaboration: Collaborate with staff in other divisions to develop initiatives across divisional lines, including collaboration with fundraisers in other Affinity Campaigns.
  • Committee Support: Provide professional support to the Real Estate Division lay committees, including agenda setting, preparing reports and presentations, writing meeting notes, and providing necessary follow-up.
  • Donor Management:
  • Maintain records of donor engagement and evaluate progress regularly with supervisor.
  • Industry Knowledge: Read newspapers, trade publications, journals, and other related material to become knowledgeable about the real estate industry and philanthropic trends.

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred.
  • Experience: Two-four years of post-college experience. Previous experience in fundraising is a plus.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to develop strong rapport with a wide range of people.
  • Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of issues facing the Jewish community and passion for UJA-Federation's mission.
  • Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multitask, with a proactive, creative, and detail-oriented approach.
  • Critical Thinking: Exceptional critical thinking and analytical skills, as well as good judgment and the ability to troubleshoot problems.
  • Technical Skills: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable working with various fundraising databases.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills, with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team with a collaborative attitude.

Salary Information:

The salary range for this role is $70,000 to $75,000; commensurate with experience and qualifications listed above.
