**Overview**:
As a Human Resource Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our HR team in various administrative tasks. You will have the opportunity to learn and grow in a fast-paced and fun-loving environment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist on operations duties
- Ensure hospitality is a priority for the team.
- Assist with recruitment and onboarding processes
- Responsible for the pre-employment process for new hires including offer letter, background requests and references.
- Provide orientation for new hires and ensure that all of the proper documents are signed and placed in the personnel record.
- Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy
- Update and maintain I-9 file
- Create new employee personnel file and assure they are maintenaned regularly.
- Assist with entries such as employee changes, deductions, terminations, etc.
- Notify managers of upcoming employee evaluations schedule
- Work with upper management closely for upcoming event
- Report new Workers Compensation claims and collect necessary paperwork for work-related injuries.
- Ensure all required labor and legal posters are posted
- Coordinate employee training and development programs
- Support HR team with various administrative tasks
- Other duties as requested by Directors or Upper management as needed.

**Qualifications**:

- AA degree/certificate or working towards degree preferred or suitable combination of skills and experience
- Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented and able to multi-task
- Must be self-motivated, able to work with a minimum of supervision, and able to handle confidential matters
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and able to interact with staff at all levels
- Integrity

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.
- Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, and other office equipment.
- Ability to communicate clearly on the telephone.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to perform various repetitive motion tasks
- Qualified individuals must be able to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.

**Pay and Benefits Offered**:

- This position has a pay range of $17 - $19. with variable hours per week.

- 1 year(s): Knowledge of Human Resources preferred
