The Land Use Consultant handles zoning or entitlement cases, working side by side with lawyers and clients on an array of development projects.
**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**
- College degree
- 3 years' experience working for a City or County in Texas in the subdivision, planning, zoning or development department or in a law firm setting supporting a Real Estate practice group
- Work independently or manage project teams and guide them through the zoning or entitlement process
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, excellent interpersonal skills, upbeat demeanor, and high energy
- Ability to thrive in a team-oriented and collaborative working environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
**PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS**
- AICP (American Institute of Certified Planners), PE (Professional Engineer), LS (Landscape Engineer), LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design)
- Experience drafting or working on local Comprehensive/Master Plans, Zoning Ordinance code sections, and reviewing environmental and engineering documents/plans
- Experience communicating with clients, co-consultants (engineers, traffic consultants, architecture and planning firms), city/county staff and/or appointed & elected officials
- Proficient in public speaking
- Your day will be spent performing a range of duties by supporting efforts between attorneys, clients, co-consultants, developers and/or city and county staff.
