Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Land Surveyor to join our team at International Staff Consulting in Austin, TX. As a key member of our Survey Department, you will be responsible for providing expert surveying services to our clients in the Central Texas region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Surveying Services: Direct or conduct various types of surveying, including boundary, topographic, ALTA/ACSM, subdivisions, construction stakeouts, and more.
  • Business Development: Aid in business development through proposals and marketing materials, helping to grow our surveying services.
  • Industry Organization Participation: Participate in industry organizations to stay up-to-date on the latest surveying techniques and best practices.
  • Survey Calculations and Drawings: Perform various survey calculations and sign and seal survey drawings, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Data Interpretation: Interpret and verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations.
  • Survey Data Preparation: Prepare or supervise the preparation of all survey data, charts, plots, maps, records, and documents related to surveys.
  • Property Research: Search legal records, survey records, and land titles to obtain property information.
  • Survey Descriptions: Write descriptions of surveys for use in deeds, leases, or other legal documents.
  • Client Relations: Maintain excellent client relations, ensuring satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Safe Working Environment: Maintain a safe working environment, adhering to company policies and industry standards.
Qualifications:
  • Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS): Must be a Registered Professional Land Surveyor in the state of Texas.
  • Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Land Surveyor, with Texas work experience strongly preferred.
  • Surveying Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys, boundary analysis, topographic surveys, construction staking, easements, and general plat preparation.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients and colleagues.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel) and CADD-based programs, preferably AutoCAD and Carlson.
  • Adaptability: Must be able to adapt and perform in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
