From the founder of CulinaryLab, **Co-Lab** is a brand new culinary entrepreneurship start-up that launched at the 4th Street Market (4SM) in Downtown Santa Ana in August 2023. Since CulinaryLab’s inception in 2016, we have trained thousands of professional and amateur cooks. Co-Lab was born from an opportunity to build a community of culinary start-ups. We operate incubator kitchens, run food entrepreneur training workshops, and manage an event space that supports small businesses and their teams within our culinary community.
**Overview**
**Responsibilities**
- Permit Assistance: Assist Co-Lab clients by filling out and submitting necessary documents and permits.
- Storage Management: Allocate storage spaces, enforce storage rules, and conduct inventory checks to ensure optimal use of resources.
- Operational Support: Oversee day-to-day operations of the kitchen, address client and facility needs promptly, and implement action plans for operational improvements.
- Client Management: Maintain up-to-date client profiles, manage records, memberships, and storage allocations.
- Scheduling and Coordination: Manage and approve kitchen schedules, and coordinate with Co-Lab team members to ensure operational efficiency.
- Communication and Customer Service: Serve as the primary point of contact for client communications, handle issues and complaints, and maintain high standards of customer service.
- Financial Management: Handle financial tasks including invoicing, managing payout spreadsheets, audits, and budgeting. Communicate directly with students enrolling for school with Co-Lab's sister company CulinaryLab, and assist them from the financial aid process. Oversee accounts receivable and payable, and prepare financial reports for leadership.
- Human Resources: Manage HR functions such as onboarding, employee benefits, payroll processing, and compliance with insurance and tax requirements.
- Facility and Compliance Management: Liaise with team members and leadership to ensure completion of facility-related projects and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Documentation and SOPs: Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures and training materials for team members.
- Inventory and Supplies Management: Oversee inventory of office supplies and other essentials, ensuring availability and cost-efficiency.
**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**
- Three to five years of experience with a proven track record in operations management, administrative roles, or relevant fields.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of financial, HR, and compliance management practices.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
**Schedule**
- Monday - Friday | 9 AM to 6 PM with a lunch break
- Remote work available one to two days per week
- Based in Downtown Santa Ana in the 4th Street Market (4SM)

- $65-$70K annual salary with incentives available
