Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Logistics Operations Manager to join our team at Returnmates. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Warehouse Management: Strategically manage our warehouse operations to ensure compliance with company policies and vision.
  • Logistics Ecosystem Knowledge: Continuously develop and maintain knowledge of the logistics ecosystem to optimize our operations.
  • Liaison and Communication: Serve as a liaison between our logistics partners and carriers, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Operations Oversight: Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution, and 3PL operations to ensure productivity targets are achieved.
  • Space Utilization: Setup and ensure efficient space utilization in our warehouse.
  • Operational Policies: Initiate, coordinate, and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures.
  • Legislative Compliance: Adhere to all warehousing, handling, and shipping legislation requirements.
  • Health and Safety: Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security in the warehouse.
  • Budget Optimization: Work with the Operations Manager to optimize budget and resources.
  • Team Management: Liaise with drivers, employees, customer service, and transport companies to ensure smooth operations.
  • Employee Development: Recruit, select, orient, coach, and motivate employees to achieve their full potential.
  • Quality Monitoring: Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided.
  • Issue Resolution: Solve package and driver issues as they arise.
  • Transportation: Drive company transit van to outer markets to deliver cargo to fleet of drivers.
  • Package Reconciliation: Responsible for reconciling all drivers' packages when distributing and collecting them.
  • Physical Demands: Be able to frequently move boxes weighing up to 30-50 pounds.
Requirements:
  • Leadership Experience: Proven work experience as a Lead or Supervisor.
  • Warehouse Expertise: Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices.
  • Process Improvement: Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives.
  • Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with warehouse management software and databases.
  • Leadership Skills: Leadership skills and ability to manage staff.
  • Decision Making: Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills.
  • Driver's License: Valid driver's license.
  • Driving Experience: Experience driving a transit van.
