SUMMARY
As a B2C Content Specialist at SHRM, you'll play a crucial role in developing engaging, member-only content that enhances SHRM's membership value proposition. This position is centered on producing premium content that is not only engaging but also caters to the diverse needs of our membership base. As a specialist, you'll have the opportunity to infuse our content with a marketing copywriting flair, ensuring it's not just informative but also compelling and persuasive. By delivering timely, relevant, and dynamic content, you'll support the professional growth of emerging professionals and HR professionals. Reporting to the Manager of B2C Content, this role is your chance to contribute significantly to the SHRM membership experience and the organization's mission.

**Responsibilities**:

- Content Creation with a Marketing Flair: Craft and execute a content strategy for exclusive, member-only offerings, such as articles, webinars, podcasts, and video series. Your content should reflect a deep understanding of SHRM members' interests and needs, with an added flair of marketing copywriting to make it more engaging and persuasive.
- Content Curation and Personalization: Select and tailor content to ensure it meets the varied needs and interests of different SHRM membership segments, boosting member engagement and satisfaction.
- Trend Analysis and Insight Generation: Stay updated with the latest HR trends, research findings, and best practices to ensure our content is forward-thinking, insightful, and aids in the professional development of SHRM members.
- Member Engagement: Employ creative strategies to foster member interaction and gather feedback on content, using these insights to continuously refine content relevance and impact.
- Collaboration with Stakeholders: Collaborate with different SHRM departments, including research, education, and advocacy, to ensure content alignment with organizational goals and member needs.
- Performance Measurement: Use analytics to monitor content engagement and effectiveness, tweaking strategies as needed to optimize member value.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in content marketing, with a focus on B2C content creation and remixing.
- Demonstrated success in repurposing content across various formats and platforms.
- Experience with data visualization and analytics tools.
- A portfolio of work, including, short & long form pieces.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong understanding of content marketing strategies and audience engagement principles.
- Understanding of HR issues, trends, and the professional development needs of HR practitioners.
- Strong writing, editing, and content production skills across various formats and platforms, with an ability to incorporate marketing copywriting elements.
- Knowledge in content strategy, audience segmentation, and digital analytics.
- Solid project management skills, capable of leading content initiatives from start to finish.
- Creative and strategic thinking with the ability to produce engaging, high-quality content for an HR audience.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
- Flexible and adaptive to changing market trends and member needs, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Experience in creating and managing high-value content for a membership organization or similar.
- Ability to engage and grow an audience through effective content strategies.
- Enthusiasm for SHRM's mission and dedication to enhancing the value of SHRM membership through exceptional content.
- Passionate about SHRM's mission and committed to advancing the HR profession.

Physical Requirements
- Capable of performing essential duties with reasonable accommodations.
- Work involves sitting, talking, hearing, and typing, with visual acuity required for keyboard usage, data analysis, and computer terminal operation.
- Occasional light lifting may be necessary.

Work environment
- Work is primarily conducted in a professional office setting, utilizing standard office equipment.
- Expected office presence of 3 days per week.
- Minimal travel requirements, less than 10%
