Responsibilities:
We’re seeking a creative and hardworking undergraduate student, with an interest and background in marketing, communications, English, human resources (HR), or related field. The intern will partner with the Learning & Development (L&D) Team to gain hands-on experience working on internal marketing Human Resources projects. Candidates local to the Nation’s Capital Region are strongly desired.
Partner with L&D team members to create, implement, and maintain internal marketing initiatives to promote a learning culture
Research L&D trends, learning culture, learning metrics and return on investment (ROI) strategies to help inform marketing plan and measure success
Explore and implement creative ways to communicate and share marketing content with a dispersed employee workforce
Draft written employee communications for email distribution and monthly newsletters
Design and provide content for internal L&D intranet site
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to target various employee groups
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Qualifications
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in marketing, communications, English, HR, or related field
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organization, administrative, and time management skills
Collaborative team player who can work independently and demonstrating initiative, ownership and problem-solving skills
Ability to take direction, work independently, and partner in a team environment
Ability to quickly learn and process information
Ability to maintain confidentiality, reliability, flexibility, and attention to detail
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including PowerPoint, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
Desired Skills
Ability to create marketing plans
Strong desire to learn along with professional drive
Ability to research and provide analysis of findings
Ability to function in a fast-paced environment
Please Note: U.S. Citizenship is required for most MTSI positions.
