Supplier Quality Administrator

Position Overview:
This Position is responsible for performing supplier quality audits, resolving quality issues with customers and suppliers, and performing other duties as directed by the Director of Quality and in conjunction with the Director of Purchasing.

Essential Job Functions:

- Maintains the Approved Supplier List with a risk-based approach and methodology, in accordance with AS9100D.
- Analyzes nonconforming material reports and provides metrics.
- Facilitates corrective actions for customers and works with customers to ensure that Century is responsive to customer requirements.
- Performs supplier desktop, and when needed, on site audits.
- Administers supplier corrective actions for part nonconformance trends and system nonconformance issues.
- Ensures timely corrective action activity by interacting with other relative Century employees and departments.
- Coordinates customer surveys within Century to ensure adequate and timely responses.
- Evaluates supplier manufacturing capabilities to ensure that each supplier is capable of producing the items that Century intends to purchase.
- Audits the purchasing process to ensure that process controls are in place.
- Maintains supplier scorecards for key suppliers and reports in quarterly management reviews.
- Recommends/participates in supplier continuous improvement activities including cost reduction ideas resulting from alternate processes.

**Requirements**:

- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100D
- Experience with measurement and test equipment.
- Experience with engineered fastener documentation and Mil-Spec documentation.
- Experience with quality systems in discrete parts manufacturing, particularly the processes involved in making fasteners.
- A background in supplier management preferably in administering supplier quality.
- Abilities to produce and analyze metrics.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge and use of basic PC skills including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Some College preferred.

Other Skills/Abilities:
Working familiarity with MS Office Products required.

Experience with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tool required.
