Job Summary:
The Quality Manager will oversee the quality management framework, supervise the inspection team, and maintain document control to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer expectations. This position is vital in fostering continuous improvement across all quality-related processes, ensuring our products meet rigorous aerospace and automotive benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Management System (QMS):
    • Develop, implement, and sustain the company's QMS in alignment with ISO 9001, AS9100, and IATF 16949 standards.
    • Conduct regular audits and lead corrective action initiatives to promote continuous improvement and adherence to the QMS.
    • Manage both internal and external audits, including preparation, execution, and follow-up.
  • Inspection Team Management:
    • Lead, train, and mentor the quality inspection team to ensure all products meet or exceed customer specifications.
    • Oversee daily inspection operations, including first article inspections, in-process inspections, and final product inspections.
    • Develop and implement inspection strategies, sampling methodologies, and control plans.
  • Document Control:
    • Ensure accurate and timely management of all quality-related documents, including work instructions, quality procedures, and inspection records.
    • Oversee the review, approval, distribution, and retrieval of documents to ensure compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.
    • Maintain up-to-date records and ensure traceability of all quality documents.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for process enhancements to improve product quality and minimize defects.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and supply chain, to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
    • Lead root cause analysis and establish preventive measures to avoid recurring quality challenges.
  • Customer and Supplier Quality:
    • Act as the primary liaison for customer and supplier quality matters.
    • Coordinate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and ensure incoming materials meet required standards.
    • Support customer audits and manage customer complaints, ensuring timely and effective resolution.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality management capacity within the aerospace or automotive manufacturing sectors.
  • Strong understanding of ISO 9001, AS9100, and IATF 16949 standards.
  • Proven experience in managing quality inspection teams and quality management systems.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean, FMEA, and root cause analysis.
