Position Summary:
The Quality Manager will oversee the quality assurance framework, supervise the inspection team, and manage document control processes to ensure compliance with industry regulations and client specifications. This role is vital in fostering continuous improvement in all quality-related operations, ensuring our products adhere to rigorous aerospace and automotive standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Management System (QMS):
    • Design, implement, and sustain the company's QMS in alignment with ISO 9001, AS9100, and IATF 16949 standards.
    • Conduct periodic audits and lead corrective action initiatives to promote ongoing enhancement and compliance with the QMS.
    • Oversee both internal and external audits, including preparation, execution, and follow-up actions.
  • Inspection Team Leadership:
    • Guide, train, and mentor the quality inspection team to ensure all products meet or surpass client specifications.
    • Supervise daily inspection operations, including first article inspections, in-process evaluations, and final product assessments.
    • Formulate and implement inspection strategies, sampling techniques, and control plans.
  • Document Management:
    • Guarantee accurate and timely management of all quality-related documentation, including work instructions, quality protocols, and inspection records.
    • Oversee the review, approval, distribution, and retrieval of documents to ensure adherence to regulatory and client standards.
    • Maintain current records and ensure traceability of all quality documentation.
  • Continuous Improvement Initiatives:
    • Identify areas for process enhancements to elevate product quality and minimize defects.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and supply chain, to address quality challenges and implement corrective measures.
    • Lead root cause analysis and establish preventive strategies to mitigate recurring quality issues.
  • Customer and Supplier Quality Management:
    • Act as the primary liaison for customer and supplier quality matters.
    • Coordinate with suppliers to address quality concerns and ensure incoming materials meet required standards.
    • Support customer audits and manage customer feedback, ensuring prompt and effective resolution.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality management capacity within the aerospace or automotive manufacturing sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, and IATF 16949 standards.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing quality inspection teams and quality management systems.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean, FMEA, and root cause analysis.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on fulfilling customer needs.
