National Accounts Manager, Walmart

Hachette Book Group is seeing a National Account manager responsible for selling all Hachette Book Group Adult titles to Walmart.

**Specific responsibilities include**:

- Maximizing sales growth on frontlist and backlist titles throughout the year
- Preparing and presenting all titles to the account on a regular basis by maintaining item set-up forms and using the vendor portal for data uploads in preparation for sell-in appointments
- Communicating with the wider sales team and Publishing regarding account activity and strategy and reorders
- Representing the account at all internal meetings including Launch, Strategy, Sales conference, and sales and marketing meetings
- Running weekly and monthly sales reports, including point of sale, sell-in recaps, market share updates, and seasonal promotions.
- Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in an account management role
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience with public speaking preferred
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with great attention to detail
- Ability to successfully prioritize and work on multiple projects at a time
- Ability to work well under pressure, and meet strict deadlines
- Proven ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to travel to sell in person to the account

The compensation range for this position is $70,000-$90,000. Salary can vary based on a number of factors including skills, experience, and location — talk with your recruiter to learn more. There may be times that you will be required (or requested) to work overtime due to the nature of your role or exceptional workload issues or special projects.
