**Job Summary**:
Provide administrative support to the Human Resources department, often acting as the first point of contact for HR-related queries from personnel.

***Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide administrative assistance as requested.
- Maintain personnel records.
- Prepare and manage HR documents (i.e., employment records and onboarding guides)
- Maintain and update personnel / HR systems.
- Maintain an efficient filing system and ensure that all confidential matters pertaining to HR Administration are kept confidential.
- Provide first level payroll and HR assistance to all personnel.
- Ensure timely response to personnel and chain of command/management queries.
- Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

- At least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license
- Suitable for federal employment
- High school diploma or equivalent with additional post-high school education
- Able to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
- No criminal record
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test
- Physically fit and able to pass a medical exam (if applicable)
- Able to obtain a secret clearance.
- Able to work shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
- Able to comply with Navy rules and regulations.
- 2+ years(s) experience in Human Resources support role
- Strong understanding of HR systems and procedures
- Hands on experience with HR software, like HRIS or HRMS.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Proactive, highly motivated, organized, and flexible
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experienced with MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Relevant AA or BA degree (i.e., Business Administration, Human Resources, etc.)

**Physical Requirements**:
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen.
