**Purpose**

The primary purpose of this position is to develop, coordinate, direct, and administer policies and procedures appropriate to an assisted living facility in accordance with DHS 83 and regulations that govern the protection of the rights of the residents and employees.

**Essential Job Functions Duties and Responsibilities**

**Administration**

Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate and direct the facility programs and activities.

Maintain, adhere and communicate written policies and procedures that govern the operation of the facility.

Participate in facility surveys (inspections) made by authorized government agencies. If needed, takes ownership of developing and implement a plan of correction for deficiencies noted during survey inspections. Review the plan and progress with the Owners.

Ensure the facility complies with and maintains licensures appropriate to an assisted living facility.

Assist program managers in the development and use of departmental policies and procedures.

Assist the Director in representing the facility in dealings with outside agencies, including governmental agencies and third party payers.

Make routine inspections of the facility to assure that established departmental policies and procedures are being implemented and followed.

Develop and maintain an effective communication relationship with families and residents.

Develop and maintain good public relations that serve the best interest of the facility and the community alike.

Ensure that all residents receive care in a manner and in an environment that maintains or enhances their quality of life.

Guide and participate in facility marketing activities.

**Personnel Functions**

Ensure that all facility personnel, residents, visitors, and guests follow established safety regulations, to which include, but not limited to, fire protection/prevention, smoking regulations, infection control.

Ensure that the building and grounds are maintained in good repair.

Work with the RN Manager and Program Manager during the investigation and resolution of all accidents/incidents. Provide guidance where necessary. With the Rn Manager, review all accident/incident reports and establish an effective safety program.

Report to Director of Operations on a consistent basis, and work with Director to ensure quality standards are met.

**Safety and Sanitation**

Ensure that all facility personnel, residents, visitors, and guests follow established safety regulations, to which include, but not limited to, fire protection/prevention, smoking regulations, infection control.

Ensure that the building and grounds are maintained in good repair.

Work with the Program Manager or Team-Leads during the investigation and resolution of all accidents/incidents. Provide guidance where necessary. With the Program Manager, review all accident/incident reports and establish an effective safety program.

**Budget and Planning Functions**

Assist in the planning, conducting, and scheduling of in-service training classes, on

Assist in the implementation and review of the annual operating budget. Allocate the resources as defined by the budget to achieve the facility’s goals.

Assist in the establishment and maintenance of effective facility systems that achieve budget goals and targets.

**Requirements**:
Must possess the ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions, and accept constructive criticism. Must be able to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public. Must be able to work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and potentially hostile people within the facility. Must be able to speak, write and understand English in a manner that is sufficient for effective communication with supervisors, employees, residents, and families. Must be proficient in word processing and excel. Microsoft Outlook and ECP experience is preferred.

**Education and Experience**

A Bachelor’s degree in Public Health Administration or Business Administration, or a health related degree is preferred. Must be able to meet the requirements of DHS 83.15.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
